A Message about Infection Control and Safety

Our office has diligently practiced proper infection controls since our opening over 30 years ago. Such protocols are not only designed to keep our patients safe, but also insure a high level of safety for our staff. In the era of recent public health concerns, some additional measures have been implemented. At this time, we cannot be certain if these modifications are permanent or temporary, but we can assure you that as health professionals, we will continue to do what we feel is necessary to provide for a safe environment to work and treat our patients. Some of the measures include:

  • Group 326

Prescreening patients prior to and at the time of appointments. You will be asked health screening questions and have your temperature taken. If your temperature is elevated or your health screening questions result in a concern, we cannot treat you in the office that day. If concerns are present, we may recommend a medical evaluation.

  • Group 327

You will be required to enter the office with a mask on and will keep it on except during actual treatment. We ask that you do not bring additional persons with you unless necessary (parents of children, persons requiring help due to mobility issues, etc.)

  • Group 328

We have eliminated reception area items such as magazines, coffee and other things that are frequently handled.

  • Group 329

You will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entry and exit.

Every member of our team is screened daily before the start of their workday and at the end of the day.

  • Group

All members of our staff will wear a mask when in the office.

  • Layer 31

Our clinical team will be wearing appropriate protective equipment that is disinfected or replaced between patients.

  • Group 330

We have added some partitions in the business areas of the office and will try to limit handling of items in those areas.

As changes occur in public health, we may receive updated recommendations from the State of Maryland, The American Dental Association and Federal agencies such as the CDC. If that happens, we may install additional measures or we might be able to return to things that make the office a warmer environment, such as magazines and coffee.

If you have any questions, please feel free contact us (301-774-8555) or ask when you make an appointment. Thanks for your cooperation and support of our practice.
